Essays County is a local writing competition that rewards outstanding essay work by students. Students in grades 3 through 4 can submit essays about any historic site in their community. Judges from the board of Chosen Freeholders will review entries, and prizes will be awarded during the May 2 meeting. Essays must be original, and images are limited to two per essay. The competition is open to all students from any school in the county. To enter, students must have completed their school’s state and local history courses.
